Add unique textures to your work! Lava cloth is great for dressing up the back of pieces to give them a more finished and professional look. 100% American made and does not stick to glass, kiln shelves, kiln brick, or fiber board. It doesn't get much easier than this: simply fuse directly onto the Lava cloth. Clean up is easy too. Lava cloth will last through many firings, so don't toss it until it starts to break down and gets fuzzy. Pre-firing is recommended because the cloth will shrink slightly during its first firing. Lava cloth is easily cut with scissors and is sold in three sizes.

1.We recommend pre-firing Lava cloth. Schedule: Ramp to 500F / hour to 1400F soak for 10 minuets. Shrinkage occurs with the first firing.

2.Do Not  fire Lava cloth above 1650F. Glass becomes molten and penetrates deep into the Lava cloth. You will not be able to separate cloth from glass.
